Injured at work? Find NYS WCB Authorized Physicians specializing in CLINICAL PATHOLOGY that treat work-related accidents and illness.
Clinical pathology relates to anatomical pathology in that they both assist in the diagnosis of diseases. Clinical pathology uses lab results from bodily fluids for a diagnosis. The most common specimens assessed by clinical pathologists are blood, urine, and sputum (phlegm).
As a patient, you may never interact with the clinical pathologist, as they are often in a lab examining the specimen. Clinical pathologists perform testing on these body fluids to find possible organisms that cause disease.
